according to the manager's statement, Madrugada have officially and quietly put the band to rest. official statement below:
" dear, I'm sorry to inform that there has been a change of plans regarding the future of Madrugada. Despite a very successful resurrection earlier this year, with great record sales, sold out shows in several European cities and successfully headlining 14 festivals/shows in Norway this summer, the band has decided enough is enough, and will resign from live playing. Madrugada will do a few selected live shows in Norway in November, but apart from this all live activities will cease immediately. I'm sorry to inform you of this, but it's the band's humble wish to cancel all planned European shows this autumn.

05/05/2008 ΚΑΙΝ will support Madrugada
Madrugada's shows will be opened by ΚΑΙΝ_ the greek band will present to us their concept project "The World of Kain", a huge work coming from 16 years ago.
ΚΑΙΝ initially started in Athens at the end of 1990, as a band that firstly adopted the name "The World of Κain", containing: Vassili Kapaniki (guitar / keyboards / vocals), Yianni Riga (vocals / guitar) and Yianni Koutsogianni (bass/vocals), all members of various bands, as NEMESIS, PURPLE OVERDOSE, ENEMA. In January 1993, the band split up, to reunite under the name of ΚΑΙΝ in November 2006 , adding Dimitri Armarioti (percussion/drumms) in the line up.
In April 2007 KAIN played at the succesful festival Norway In Athens in Fuzz club, earning warm live reviews. Right now they are working their project "The World of Kain" combining the original sessions of 1992 with today's production's standards without leaving their attitude. Their album will be released in 2008 in Greece, and in other european countries as well.
On 24th and 25th May 2008 they will present their project to the greek audience, opening Madrugada's shows in Athens.

Ten Years after the release of their very first EP and a few months after the release of their splendid, and probably last, studio album, M² Music Entertainment presents Madrugada live in Gagarin 205 on 24th and 25th May.
The two forthcoming shows of the awesome Norewgian band, part of their Highway of Light European tour, are going to be the first greek dates after the sad loss of Robert Buras and surely are the biggest concert event of this year's autumn.
Sivert Hoyem and Frode Jacobsen will invite this time on stage a 4members band, with musicians from My Midnight Creeps, the side project of Robert. Full stage line up follows:

06/12/2007 Info related to the new album
According to VG, Madrugada will release the album that they were in the process of making when Robert passed away.
It will probably be entitled Madrugada, and the album will be released early next year in January/February, but already next week on December 10th the single Look Away Lucifer will be released. The recordings are from a session in Hoboken, NY in May where the band recorded about 14-15 songs and after Robert's passed away, Madrugada booked a studio in Gothenburg to finish it. It's only the last track on the record that has been recorded after Robert passed, and any of the little guitar-recordings exceeding this song has been done by the band's friend Alex Kloster Jensen.
In related interview, Sivert states that they are still unsure about the future of the band, as he and Frode realised how irreplacable Robert is to Madrugada.

According, to a post on the band's official site: Look Away Lucifer will be released in Norway December 10th. it has been an emotional journey however in Robert's honour we have persevered to finish what was started last May. Stay tuned for exciting news of the upcoming album.....yes that's right. Peace.

13/07/2007 it comes from the official site of madrugada: OUR beloved friend, Robert BurAs, passed away on 12 July 2007. He was 31 years old.
Robert dedicated his life to music. He was guitarist and composer in Madrugada for 12 years. He spent this last year on his band My Midnight Creeps and also on composing and recording a new Madrugada album. Robert passed away at a time when he was at his most creative. Through his recorded work and from stages both domestic and international, he made his eternal mark on Norwegian rock history.
Everyone who knew him and worked with him will remember him as a generous and warm person who lived and breathed for music. There are many of us who cared a lot for Robert who are having an extremely hard time today.Robert will always be a part of us and he will always be deeply missed. Our thoughts and sympathy are with his family. We request that Robert's family may be left to grieve in peace.Oslo, 13.07.07
